Behind Some of the Many Dirty Secrets of the Second War

Writer: EmilyEmily

Operation Himmler, also called Operation Konserve or Operation Canned Goods, was a 1939 false flag project planned by Nazi Germany to further create the appearance of Polish aggression against Germany. Then was used by the Germans to justify their invasion of Poland.

Before the war began, Hitler had a talk with his generals on August 22, 1939. "I will provide a propagandistic casus belli. Its credibility doesn’t matter. The victor will not be asked whether he told the truth.", says the dictator of Germany. In other words, "I shall give a propagandist reason for starting the war. Never mind whether it is plausible or not.". So with this, World War Two kicked off with a bizarre stunt, codenamed Operation Canned Goods. You may question though: didn't the war begin on September 1st? Well yes, but Hitler originally planned to invade Poland on Aug. 26 but for political reasons he decided to wait, therefore also delaying the assault on the radio station.

The 'goods' you may ask, were 12 convicts who had been given lethal injections. The Nazi High Command used several “border incidents” to create the appearance of Polish aggression to justify Hitler’s invasion into Poland. This, supposedly setting off the war. SS officers dressed their unconscious fake Polish bodies in Polish clothing, riddled them with bullets, then dumped them outside a German radio station near the Polish border, so it looked as if they had been killed while attacking the station. At the time, the Germans may have thought a somewhat smart idea, but later on, they were caught in their lies when they were confessed in the Nuremberg Trials by Alfred Naujocks, a Polish-speaking German who was partially crucial in the operation.

Naujocks grabbed the radio station's microphone after setting up the act, and broadcasted: "People of Poland, the time has come for war between Poland and Germany!". The next day, members of the press (Americans) were invited to visit the bodies' site and were supposedly seen as evidence that the Poles had attacked first. "This “crime,” together with a few other staged “attacks,” composed Hitler’s formal excuse for the invasion of Poland." (The Atlantic).

Naujocks was later suspected (but not found guilty) of participating in ODESSA - an organized effort to smuggle SS officers out of the country to avoid prosecution.

In the idea, at the time, that the Polish started the war, today Putin blames Poland for the outbreak of the Second World War. A part of a big lie. Such as when "The Soviet Union never admitted to having conquered or annexed the Polish territory: These lands remained part of the U.S.S.R. after the war and are still part of modern Belarus and Ukraine today." (The Atlantic). Or when "a “Soviet sphere of interest,” was part of a secret protocol to the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, the nonaggression deal between Hitler and Stalin signed on August 23. The secret protocol was found in Nazi archives after the war, though the Soviet Union went on denying that it existed for many decades." (The Atlantic). To note about Putin, who brought up in several meetings in late December 2020, he blamed the responsibility of the Second World War on the Polish 5 times.

As a part of an article with The Atlantic:

"He told a group of Russian businessmen that he was consulting with historians and reading up on Polish diplomacy in the 1930s to make this case. At a meeting at the Russian defence ministry, he angrily proclaimed that the Polish ambassador to Nazi Germany in the 1930s—not really, one would think, a person of tremendous relevance—had been “scum” and “an anti-Semite pig.” After yet another meeting with the president, the speaker of the Duma, Russia’s parliament, publicly called for Poland to apologize for starting the war."

Putin Blames Poland for WWII and says the Soviet Union "saved lives"

Pretty sickening I think. As they aren't innocent themselves. You would know that Russia still has problems facing up to the horrors of its own past, such as the mass rape of German women by the Red Army as they were closing back in on Germany at the end of the war. Or may I say, the mass slaughter of Poles. If you research deep enough, you can find the hundreds of dirty secrets many countries had buried so they wouldn't be exposed during the war, and even after.

Only recently has Switzerland taken a hard look at its role during the war, when Swiss banks traded looted Nazi gold for Swiss francs, effectively funding the Nazi war machine. The Swiss ministers and generals gave orders to turn back 30,000 Jewish refugees at the Swiss border, knowing full well what would happen to them back in Germany.

France wasn't any more innocent than Switzerland. Under the Nazi-backed Vichy regime, French civil servants and police officers put over 75,000 Jews and other 'enemies of the stae' onto trains bound for concentration camps. Yet until the mid-1990s, few ever talked about France's role in the Holocaust.

I musn't forget Japan. Japanense atrocities during the war were largely forgotten by the West, but not by POWs or by the Asian nations where they were committed. From 1941 to 1945, some 24 million people died in Japanese-occupied Asia. When the war ended, the Japanese immediately tried to rewrite history, and continue to do so. (World War Two: A Very Peculiar History)

Countries, like Switzerland, France and Japan, weren't successful in hiding their dirty secrets, and were exposed, just like Naujocks revealing Nazi Germany's Operation Himmler. Two tells its own story about what happened. But here continues history once again. Whether it's falsifying it or proving it, history continues day by day. Past or present.

The staged attacks to support Hitler's so-called 'theory' that the Polish attacked first also concluded of: "two separate raids that occurred near the German village of Hochlinden and at a forestry office in Pitschen. Six prisoners were taken from the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, dressed in Polish military uniforms, and then executed. The sophisticated and well-choreographed propaganda wing then spread the lies to the press. The Nazi High Command took the lessons they learned from previous border incidents and applied them to their most famous black propaganda raid in what became known as the Gleiwitz incident." To conclude this blog with a quote:

“I can no longer find any willingness on the part of the Polish Government to conduct serious negotiations with us. These proposals for mediation have failed because in the meanwhile there, first of all, came as an answer the sudden Polish general mobilization, followed by more Polish atrocities. These were again repeated last night. Recently in one night there were as many as twenty-one frontier incidents: last night there were fourteen, of which three were quite serious. I have, therefore, resolved to speak to Poland in the same language that Poland for months past has used toward us.”

– says Adolf Hitler, 1939, referring to a series of border incidents engineered by the Nazis in order to find a pretext for war.
